Famous for being the filming location for one of the UK's best loved soap operas, Emmerdale Farm (1976-1996), Esholt is a charming village just outside Bradford, West Yorkshire. Sorry but I didn't stop to take a photo of the famous Woolpack (I'm not a fan of the programme) but it was nice to be in the saddle and enjoy the lovely English weather (drizzle, sunshine and wind, ha!).

Route: Apperley Bridge - Esholt - Buck Wood - Leeds Liverpool canal.

Ghost hunters might be interested in this article about Esholt Hall. I have to say it looked so benign in the afternoon light.
