A walk along Malltreath Bay, Anglesey

Towards Newborough Forest

From my casual snaps to these stunning watercolours of Malltreath from Charles Tunnicliffe (1901-1979), an internationally renowned wildlife artist, and Malltreath resident for 35 years. He documented much of the myriad wildlife to be found on Anglesey. At his death, much of his personal collection was bequeathed to Anglesey County Council on the condition it be housed together and for public viewing. The main body of his work can be seen at Oriel Ynys Môn, a museum and art centre in the small market town of Llangefni.
