How to travel (almost) anywhere with just Carry On

A weekend break, a fortnight at the beach, a safari trip, an Iceland road-trip, backpacking around the world, I totally believe it can all be done with just carry-on. All it needs is a little organisation.

Everything you will need can be divided into five categories -

• Laptop & charger (obviously the smaller and lighter, the better)
• Kindle

Gear

• Eye mask
• Travel towel
• Ear plugs
• Packing cubes
• Luggage lock
• Small day backpack
• Pen
• Notebook
• Water bottle

Clothing

• Outerwear - jacket & packaway rain coat (type according to climate
• Sunglasses
• Tops - 2 long sleeve, 4 short sleeve
• 2 pairs of trousers/skirts/shorts
• Leggings
• Swimsuit
• 6 pairs of socks
• 6 pairs of knickers
• 1 bra
• Pair of lightweight shoes
• Scarf/sarong/buff (according to climate)
• Contact lenses/glasses

Toiletries

• Toothbrush & miniature sized paste
• Make-up minimalist style - tinted moisturiser, lip balm, mascara, eyeliner, blush in a clear resealable 20cm x 20cm bag
• fixed cartridge razor blade
• Buy everything else you need (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion) at destination
