Summer holiday 2016

So, now we are into Autumn it is a good time to start blogging again. I want to fill in what I did over the Summer.

We spent a wonderful week in Anglesey, North Wales. Do you know that this gorgeous place is where I grew up? We've vowed that we will always return for a holiday here at least once a year.

Anyway, let me show you some photos...

First Stop: The pretty town of Llangollen
And a canal boat cruise over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Thrills looking down

We were on a boat, on top of the bridge - what an idea!

My favourite place in the world. even when its raining... Llanddwyn Island, Anglsesey.

Remains of an ancient shipwreck on the beach at Newborough

A walk along the bizarre landscape of the old copper mining area, Amlwch

How I imagine Mars

The only working windmill in Wales, Llynon

The mill does a great cream tea

And some Llynnon flour as a souvenir. Bara Brith recipe has been downloaded.

A walk up the Great Orme, Llandudno.
And a walk along the pier eating hot, sugary donuts.

The smallest house in all of Great Britain is in the seaside town of Conwy.

Picturesque Conwy Castle
And on the last day, a trip to the Anglesey Sea Zoo. What a cutie!
